Arplakoon the Timedreamer
- "You know why I like going by the name that the protogods gave their god of the future? Because the future is most exciting. The future can change. Nothing is set in stone. There's possibilities, but nothing is final until it happens."
The god of time, Arplakoon is a mysterious figure throughout the galaxy. Cultures all throughout the Ealdremen Galaxy have varying perceptions of time, but Arplakoon sees time far differently than any mortal could possibly comprehend.
Arplakoon tends to favor youthful appearances, most commonly a young kannar child with light-colored fur and small horns. Black markings adorn his body, and his eyes are also completely black -- he has a hidden, second pair of eyes in the back of his head. As his title suggests, he is almost always asleep until someone approaches him. When threatened, Arplakoon shifts forms with reckless abandon, but he seems to pick forms close to what the protogods imagined him as: a large, lizard-like statue with brilliant painted designs all over his body.
According to himself, Arplakoon was the first of Their creations, and he was consequently the most similar to Them. Beyond this, he has not elaborated on his origins, or his role in Their great plan other than acknowledging that plan's existence.
Arplakoon was apparently involved in the creation of Ganrikkat, thus explaining why the dagger has powers pertaining to time and time travel.
Arplakoon's name is derived from an order of gods in early drafts of the Ealdremen Galaxy. They were called the Order of Arplakoon, and they dwelled on a planet at the center of the galaxy of the same name.
