A researcher of all things magic, Konec Aniklý practiced both divine and arcane magic, and he authored many books on both subjects that unfortunately did not all survive to the modern day. Just prior to the Godbomb, it is said he was looking into what exactly separated gods from mortals, and his research led to him surmising that "even gods can be killed." What exactly brought him to this conclusion is unknown, but he was certainly correct, given the number of gods that were slain just prior to the Godbomb.

O child of a shattered bloodline...
You are not yet ready
to know what lies ahead.

Background

Konec was the apparent mastermind behind the nine godslayers, orchestrating their creation from beginning to end; however, for what purpose he created these weapons is not exactly known. He personally forged Ganrikkat, the Timeripper, and legend holds that he was aided by the god Senskončí in the process.

At some point, Konec's spirit was sealed into Ganrikkat, and this allowed him to effectively live for centuries onward. However, Ganrikkat, unlike the other godslayers, remained mostly out of mortals' hands. Ganrikkat remained on Vzástrov Se; as the passage to the floating island was apparently destroyed during the Godbomb, the dagger was left alone and mostly forgotten.

First Dream of Arplakoon

During Arplakoon's first dream, nobody acquired Ganrikkat until after the Fall of the Ealdremen Galaxy. Still sealed away on the floating island of Vzástrov Se, Ganrikkat was not present for the final bout of the Fourth Galactic War -- perhaps a blessing, as the dagger's presence likely would have made an already-vicious bloodbath even more merciless as every side attempted to control the time-traveling dagger.

In hopes of changing the past, Varthenral tracked down Ganrikkat and used it to return to before the Fourth Galactic War. However, Konec despised Varthenral's misuse of its powers, and he grew increasingly bitter and abusive towards her while she became even more reliant on the potential to change the past.
