A calm and collected member of the Red Quasars, Reggio DiVanni is rarely surprised by anything, and even rarer does he raise his voice. He is hardly indulgent, caring little for the wanton debauchery of his crewmates, and he also doesn't particularly care for climbing the ranks of the pirates he runs with. It's uncertain, then, how he ended up with the likes of the Red Quasars and why he stays.

Second Dream of Arplakoon

Fallen Arm Station: The Sparrowhawk's Hope

In Arplakoon's second dream, Reggio was one of the guards in the treasure room where Gwyna Velkt was being held captive. When it was clear that the pirates were outmatched, Reggio surrendered and laid down his weapon. Even when Isaak, somewhat under Oladani's sway, pointed the weapon at him, Reggio only reiterated that he had surrendered. His calm demeanor stood out to Jaspur, who took the opportunity to question him for some information.

Though perhaps more influenced by the threat of death than Jaspur regarding him as "reasonable," Reggio divulged the AEN Sparrowhawk's location relative to where they were and, at Jaspur's request, what Captain Picaro ne Valor would have prized over his own life. He also vaguely said that he had family to provide for when Jaspur asked how a man like him ended up among the pirates.

Later, Jaspur questioned Reggio and the other pirate still standing from the fight, Mandwin Gralbecht, what they intended to do now. It didn't take much for Reggio and Mandwin to reveal their displeasure with how the Red Quasars were run, though Reggio was much more vague about it. When Jaspur offered -- in indirect terms -- to bring them with him when Jaspur and the others took the AEN Sparrowhawk and fled the station, Reggio also made mention of "others" who disliked the Red Quasars and mostly ended up running with them out of necessity, not a love of the lifestyle.

With the promise that Jaspur would try to aid in the safety of anyone who sought to escape, Reggio shook his hand and said that he could respect a man who "looked at pirates and saw people instead". Reggio and Mandwin then left to gather the dissenters and wipe their names from the records of the Red Quasars while Jaspur and his group secured the AEN Sparrowhawk.
