The captain of the guard at Fort Darackei, Sergan is downright irritable most of the time. Budget cuts to the fort's supplies, poorly-trained and incompetent guards, and the omnipresent threat of attacks against the fort have left him perpetually on edge and unequipped to handle both the stress of the job and the onslaught of undead. Everyone around him appears to accept his grumbling and tendency to rant whenever it strikes his fancy, but those beneath him regularly talk behind his back.

Second Dream of Arplakoon

Mioura: The Forgotten Past

When the gates to Fort Darackei were closed for quite a while due to a sleeping guard, Sergan was one of the first to arrive to rectify the situation. He and his guards stumbled on Doji, who had flown over the gate to try and open it up. Though hostile towards her for perceived belligerence, they eventually allowed her and the others into the fort by opening the gates.

Third Dream of Arplakoon

Mioura: The Forgotten Past

Captain Sergan did not appear during Arplakoon's third dream.

Fourth Dream of Arplakoon

Mioura: The Forgotten Past

During Arplakoon's fourth dream, Sergan was encountered when he was leaving the governor's office building. Though furious at the sleeping guard, the newcomers to the fort he encountered distracted him from his anger by telling him about the necromancer they met outside the gate. This converted Sergan's fury to a more general purpose of getting things back in order at the fort to better combat the encroaching undead.
